For most of my career, I worked at ABC Radio National as a producer/reporter on the various incarnations of the Books and Arts programs. I left when Tony Abbott's No Cuts to the ABC- didn't happen.

 

My novel "Getting Up" about a graffiti artist set in Melbourne in the 1980s was published by Pan Macmillan in 2013 under the nom de plume SD Thorpe. I also work (and live) with Frank Veldze who is the presenter of Down the Rabbit Hole - Weds 8-10pm. We live full time in central Castlemaine and think its the best place on earth and feel honored to be a part of it. I am also on the board of management and I am the Program Manager of MAINfm- the best little station in the nation.
